Elementary Openings
Elementary Principal (starting Summer 2023)
Are you looking for a leadership role in Colorado Springs’ only accredited classical Christian school? Evangelical Christian Academy (ECA) celebrates 51 years of faithful service to this community: faithful to Christ first of all, and faithful to hundreds of Christian families, 310 current students, and 800 graduates. Working at ECA also means being part of a team of educators who love children, honor parents, and support each other in a dynamic and richly rewarding ministry environment.
ECA is seeking an Elementary Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. The ideal candidate will be a faithful Christian and experienced administrator with a passion for classical Christian education. He or she should possess strong relational skills and a relational calling to warmly and wisely lead a close team of elementary and PK faculty. The Principal must train, challenge, and inspire teachers to do all things “as unto the Lord” in their service to students and parents. He or she must also partner well with parents, respecting their God-given role as the primary educators in the lives of their children. The new Principal will inherit a mature program, an experienced team, and a sweet community, but will be called to deepen the school’s embrace of the classical tradition, pedagogy, and curriculum.
The Elementary Principal will report to the Head of School and participate with a supportive and collaborative administrative team. Preference will be given to those who have a master’s degree, experience in classical Christian education, and mastery of elementary education. ECA is a ministry to the students and families of this community, but it is also a ministry to teachers and administrators who would find themselves personally and professionally challenged and further equipped for service in the Kingdom of God.
If you are interested in the school and this position, please send a resumé and cover letter to Head of School Stephen Sprague at ssprague@ecaeagles.org.
