2023-2024 Academic Year – Current Openings  

A bachelor’s degree is required for instructional positions. A degree related to a teacher’s specific area of expertise is preferred.  Ideal candidates should have experience in the Classical Christian education. An understanding and evidence of the Christian’s Fruit of the Spirit and agreement with the ECA Statement of Faith is required of prospective applicants. Some positions are part-time, but classes and assignments may be combined to form full-time positions. Facilities Manager (Elementary Campus)

Evangel Christian Academy is seeking a full or part-time Facilities Manager who has a heart for our students and staff and is willing to oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and cleaning of the school and its grounds and facilities. Facilities Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees building and grounds maintenance.
  • Operates and maintains custodial functions.
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to school policy and procedures.
  • Manages and reviews service contracts.
  • Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
  • Checks completed work by vendors and contractors.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Forecasts, allocates, and collaborates with office manager/Principal regarding the financial and physical resources of the facility management.

Hours:

  • The facility manager will be available during the school day, and ensure the building is prepared for the following school day as well as for church functions.

Head of School Position Opening

Evangel Christian Academy (ECA) is hiring a Head of School to lead our growing organization. Located on the Village Seven Presbyterian church grounds in Colorado Springs, Colorado, we are celebrating over 50 years of providing a Biblical worldview education from preschool through high school using the Classical approach. Additionally, the ECA Collegium Study Center provides Christian Classical education in conjunction with home school families. It is the only one of its kind and draws students from all over Colorado Springs.

Position Overview: The Head of School reports to the Board of Directors as its sole employee and functions as the Chief Executive of the school providing Christ-like leadership.
Character traits required for this position:
Deep and evident faith in Jesus Christ – able to give personal testimony of salvation and Christ’s work in his/her life compatible with Reformed theology
Passion for Classical Christian education
Servant leadership skills – listens and utilizes ideas presented

Preferred Education and Experience Qualifications:
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in related fields
Minimum five years’ leadership experience within Christian education with demonstrable experience managing staff and evaluating education programs, faculty, support staff
Financial acumen and accomplishment in developing and managing budgets and able to provide examples of such
Expertise in fundraising and donor cultivation
