Please note: Evangelical Christian Academy now has a new name and look: Evangel Christian Academy. Read more here.

As I hear from parents who have children enrolled in ECA, one common thread seems to be more important than anything else: “to train up children in the way they should go” and help them “to acknowledge God” in all aspects of life. Let’s take a brief look at three verses which support these concepts, under the premise that there are other families in Colorado Springs who believe this, too, and who might like to consider ECA for their children:

TRAIN UP A CHILD

“Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Children who are cultivated in the ways of the Lord (when they rise, walk about, sit, or lie down) they will learn to walk in God’s ways for a lifetime. When the partnership between parents, their Christian church, and ECA is effective, students become stronger in the faith!

ACKNOWLEDGE GOD THROUGH CHRIST

“And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God…” Matthew 10:32

Teachers of every subject at ECA make it a point to draw each child, through the power of the Holy Spirit, near to Christ. As students acknowledge God through Christ, and especially in what Christ has done for them, they will be established upon the best foundation for the future – in all aspects of life!

DOWNFALL OF NOT ACKNOWLEDGING GOD

“And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper…” Romans 1:28

We are living in an ever-changing society where many children and parents are unfamiliar with the tenants and benefits of our Christian faith. ECA has a unique opportunity to be a beacon of light in this dark world of the acknowledgement of God!

Here are ways in which you can help spread the word about ECA:

Pray for like-minded families and students:
Scripture tells us that the prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much. We covet your fervent prayers for new opportunities for ECA to reach families for Christ.

Encourage other parents you know to get a tour of ECA:
Mrs. Michelle Poli can be reached throughout the summer at (719) 634-7024 and would welcome the opportunity to provide tours to families with students in any grade.

Invite a family to attend an upcoming “Discover ECA” event:
The next event is Thursday, July 13, at 6:30pm in Room S2 at Village Seven Presbyterian Church. Please direct interested parents to www.ECAeagles.org to RSVP for this informative meeting and free dinner.

ECA continues to provide a high-quality Biblically-integrated education for Christian families in Colorado Springs. Let’s pray that all who truly desire this kind of schooling are able to receive it!
